Excited. Terrified. Motivated. Humbled. Grateful! Are the top words I have to describe my experience with Fragment/o/s of Air/e. @onstage.playhouse invited me to participate in their new play development program Page To Stage, which entails writing a play from scratch, so much researching, workshopping with table reads, listening, and editing, editing and more editing until opening night on July 25th 2025. When director James Darvas asked me to write a play only I could write, words just started flowing. I’m incredibly humbled to participate in a program other local playwrights have been a part of: Tori Rice, Salomon Maya, Anna Sandor who just opened her show Knock Loudly, and the unstoppables Herbert Siguenza and Mabelle Reynoso. I am even more humbled to have the support of the William Male Foundation to help me with this process. Thank you, James and OnStage Playhouse for trusting me, encouraging me, listening to me, and getting in this ride with me with an open heart. I can’t wait to share this story with you all!!! ... As an actress and playwright, I find that being curious is imperative to storytelling. Whether I am portraying a character or writing one, I am always wondering what this person’s experience is in the scene, the play, and the play’s universe.
